Drafting Technician - Pipeline in Oklahoma City, OK

We are currently hiring for a Drafting Technician in Oklahoma City, OK. The Drafting Technician performs an advanced level of design by planning capital projects for new growth, system refurbishment and relocation. Utilizes AutoCAD and ArcGIS software to design construction drawings to show plan and profiles on a large number of concurrent natural gas pipeline projects by utilizing and considering site plans, cross sections, traffic control, water distribution, sanitary sewer collection systems, storm sewers, intersection layouts and applicable standard details. Design includes routing, pipeline sizing, engineering plan and profiles, scheduling, project management, permit acquisition and reporting. Analyzes survey, topography, field notes, construction sketches, company records, GPS data, photos and other project-specific materials to identify potential project constraints and best approach in developing and completing projects. Negotiation, follow-up and regular communication with clients, government entities and developers are critical to the success of this position.Must have previous design experience. (4 years design experience is preferred) Experience with AutoCAD along with pipe, mechanical and architectural drawing proficiency. Requires interpreting and preparing complex information. Current driver's license and good driving record needed. Must be able to drive a company vehicle to some job sites and locations in the Oklahoma City Metro area.
