1980 Apache (Vesley) Ramada in Oklahoma City, OK

1980 Apache (Vesley) Ramada

This is a 1980 Apache Ramada popup. Apache is no longer in business but while it was, it had a very innovative popup camper. This popup has no canvas in the sides. All the walls are doubled paneled with ABS thermoplastic on the outside and wood paneling on the interior. The trailer has a built-in lift system to raise the top, a 110/12v electric converter, electric brakes, 3 burner propane stove, AC, entrance step, (4) built in leveling jacks, 25 foot power cord, propane bottle, vinyl floor covering, portable toilet (never used), icebox , city water and 10 gallon fresh water tank. The tires are 20.5?x8?x10? and are new. It also has a spare tire on the rear under a tire cover. It will sleep up to eight people. It has 2 full size beds with foam mattresses, a dinette that folds down to a bed and a gaucho that folds down to a bed. The trailer weighs about 2000 pounds unloaded. It is 17 feet long (when folded up) and 6.5 feet wide. The living area ( when it is opened up) has an interior height of 6?2? and is 20.7 feet long by 6? wide. We bought this Apache new in 1980 and used it regularly until about 10 years ago when we bought a vintage Airstream, The Apache has been stored in a carport for most of its life. The Apache is 33 years old and has a few blemishes as shown in the pictures. The paint is dull/faded. The aluminum skin has been repaired behind the driver side wheel after a tire problem damaged the area behind the wheel. And the lower rear passenger side end cover has been repaired after I backed into something. On the interior some of the paneling shows water staining from a leak or being open and closed in the rain.
